Britain's largest shingle expanse and the steepest-shelving beach mark on the south coast. The Point fishes deep, fast and rough — cod, bass and codling through autumn and winter; smoothhound, spotted ray and dogfish through the warmer months. The 'Dustbin' off the Patch is one of the country's most consistent cod marks.
